September 7, 2020 at 5:30 pmI never met Mr. Burrell but my deceased father sure did. The two of them were at Normandy together on LCT-703 on June 6, 1944. There is a special place in God’s house for the folks who were a part of The Greatest Generation that ever lived. May he rest in peace.

November 2, 2020 at 1:44 pmI, too, never had the honor of meeting Mr. Burrell, but have a special place in my heart for him. He was with my Father on the LCT 703 on D Day. As I understand it, Mr. Burrell was the last of the crew to pass. May he rest in eternal peace. My condolences to the family.
