Pamela J. (Porter) Whitney August 16, 1955 - July 23, 2019

Haverhill – Pamela J. (Porter) Whitney, 63, wife of Robert E. Whitney, passed away July 23, 2019 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Boston with her loving family by her side.

Born in Eastport, Maine, she was the daughter of Albert and Barbara (Hayward) Porter. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1973 and attended Northern Essex Community College. Pamela was employed at Lucent Technologies and after retirement at Partyrama in Salem, NH, a job she loved. Customers would rely on her for party planning which she was very good at it. Pamela was an active volunteer for Telephone Pioneers of America, Special Olympics and for Ozzie’s Kids in Haverhill. She loved traveling to Nubble Lighthouse in Cape Neddick, York, ME and visiting family in Lubec, ME. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed the holidays and having “quality family time”.  She was well known as “Auntie Pam” to many.  Pamela will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pamela is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Robert and her daughter, Melissa Upham and her husband Toby of Haverhill; three sisters, Carol Legault and her husband Donald of Haverhill; Nancy Peters and her husband Clifford of Haverhill; Linda Porter and Wayne Carreiro of Haverhill; two grandchildren, Chloe Upham and Maya Upham; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, July 27 from 2:00PM until 5:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
