Greenville – Paul F. Moran Jr., 83, of Greenville, GA, and formerly of Bradford, MA, passed away peacefully at his home on November 2, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on June 5, 1938, he was the son of the late Paul F. Moran Sr., and Mildred C. (Mullen) Moran. Paul was a graduate of St. James High School, class of 1956, and attended Merrimack College.
Paul’s first love was for his family, and his second was for the game of golf. Earning his PGA card in 1962, he was a proud golfer on the PGA Tour, playing with the likes of Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. One of his many accomplishments was winning the “Triple Crown of New England” (holding three titles simultaneously) including the Massachusetts Open, The New England PGA Championship, and the New England Open. He was the first to accomplish this feat as reported in a 1981 Boston Globe edition. He later played on the Senior PGA Tour. Upon retiring, Paul was a head teaching pro at various golf clubs.
Because of his many accomplishments, Paul was one of the first athletes to be inducted into the Haverhill Sports Hall of Fame in 1982. He made his family and city proud.

Paul is survived by his cherished children; daughters, Lori Moran of Greenville, GA, Debra Tashie and husband Judd of Franklin, TN, and Terri Katherine Moran of Gainesville, GA; son, Michael Moran of Gainesville; Mary (Keiser) Moran, mother of his children, of Newnan, GA; sisters, Kathleen Merchant of Windham, NH, Patricia Nissi of Haverhill, MA, and Mary Cody and husband Daniel of Nashua, NH; 15 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son Mitchell Moran and brother Richard Moran.
