Phillip L. “Lou” Boudreau August 14, 1926 - December 12, 2019

Haverhill – Phillip L. “Lou” Boudreau, 93  husband of the late Bessie (Billis) Boudreau, passed away December 12, 2019 at the Maplewood Center in Amesbury.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Phillip L. Boudreau, Sr. and Martha E. (MacDonald) Boudreau. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he attended Haverhill public Schools. A Veteran of WWII, he enlisted in 1943 in the United States Navy. He attended Nautical Navigation School and served his country aboard the U.S.S. Mink. He was honorably discharged in 1946. A machinist by trade, he was employed at Sweetheart Plastic, Borden Chemical and retired from the Henshel Corporation. A gifted tradesman, he built and sold trailers from his home and helped others with any mechanical problems. Lou was always helping everyone he knew and was a great neighbor. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his compassionate and giving nature. Lou was known to hold “court” daily at the Dunkin Donuts at Rivers Edge Plaza, sharing funny stories and reminiscing of days gone by with anyone who had time to listen. Lou will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Lou is survived by his children; Gregory L. and his wife, Christine Boudreau, David W. Boudreau, and Lynne A. Boudreau-Ingham and her husband Michael Ingham, all of Haverhill, his cherished grandchildren; Rachael A. Boudreau, Lee G. Boudreau and his wife, Karen Boudreau, Michael W. Boudreau, Mark D. Boudreau, Erik M. Spero, Danielle L. Ryan and her husband, Alex D. Duff, a great grandson; Anthony “A.J.” Boudreau-Iuele, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings; Francis Boudreau, Robert Boudreau, Gladys Lavoie, and Agnes Boudreau.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, December 16 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:00AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Main Street, Groveland.
