Haverhill – Randy A. Shaw, 44, passed away November 1, 2021 at Lahey Hospital in Burlington surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Linda C. (White) Sanborn of Haverhill and the late John D. Shaw. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill High School. Randy was a bus driver for Coach for the past 15 years and was loved by his employers and his fellow employees. An easy going man, he made friends wherever he went and with his big heart would do anything for anyone who needed help. Randy was a member of the Sons of Italy Drum and Bugle Corp for over 34 years. He played the drums, cymbals and bass and was the drum sergeant. His three beloved children marched with him in many parades. At the upcoming Christmas Parade in Haverhill The Sons of Italy Drum and Bugle Corps will be dedicating their portion of the parade to him.  He was also a disc jockey, known as the “Event Planner”, at weddings and parties. Christmas was his favorite holiday, he organized a New York City bus trip for friends and family the past few years to take in the Christmas festivities there.  During his four years of High School, he would march in the parade in his Drum and Bugle Corps uniform then change into his High School Band uniform and march it all over again. If anyone loved a parade it was Randy. He was the backup drummer for the local band “The Ghost Riderz”.  A devoted dad and family man, he enjoyed taking his children to the beach or a lake to swim. He also traveled to Gettysburg with his children every year. Randy will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his loving mother Linda C. Sanborn, Randy is survived by his three children, Elizabeth Shaw, Bret Shaw and Owen Shaw, all of Haverhill; brother, John D. Shaw, Jr. of Derry, NH; sisters, Shannon M. Shaw of Derry, NH and Belinda C. Backstrom of Sharon, NH; and many friends and colleagues.
