HAVERHILL – Richard E. Ferguson, Jr., 65, passed away on Saturday, November 9 at his home in Haverhill.
Born in Haverhill, Richard was the son of Richard and Ernestine (Woodbury) Ferguson. He was a graduate of Whittier Vocational Technical High School, Class of 1976 and then went on to work in the construction industry as a framer by trade. Richard enjoyed camping and canoeing down the Saco River, cooking at the pig roast, gardening and partying with friends and family. He will be remembered as a shy, quiet man with a great sense of humor.
Richard is survived by his daughter Sarah Ferguson, brother Ralph T. Ferguson and his wife Celeste of Haverhill, sisters Margaret Zebrowski and her husband Gerard of Cooper City, FL, Sandra Bonin and her husband Gerald of Ossipee, NY and Janet Ferguson of Newburg, NY. He also leaves behind grandchildren Colby Ferguson-Torrey, Taylin Plourde and Ryan Smith and Jackson Rogers, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Racheal Ferguson and his sisters Patricia Demarais and Susan Sturk, and his life partner Patricia Swiger.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, December 4 from 9AM until 10:30AM, followed by a funeral home chapel service at 10:30AM at the Kevin B.
