Robert J. Gordon, 82, loving husband of Sheila (Murphy) Gordon, passed away on May 29, 2025 at the Andover Forest Post Acute Care Center in North Andover.

Born in Lindenhurst, NY on September 25, 1942 he was the son of Albert E. and Johanna M. (Schulz) Gordon and was a graduate of Lindenhurst High School in New York. Robert served in the United States Coast Guard and later went on to work for many years as an electronics technician, eventually retiring from Lucent Technologies. In his later years Robert went to drive a bus for Laidlaw Transportation and NRT. He was always on the go traveling and enjoying weekend trips with his wife of 61 years, Sheila, and will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Robert is survived by his wife Sheila (Murphy) Gordon; his sons Robert J. Gordon, Jr. and his wife Ann Marie of Atkinson, NH, and Scott A. Gordon of Haverhill, and his daughters Kelly A. Cosio and her husband David of Atkinson, NH and Karen J. Archambault and her husband Michael of Haverhill. He also leaves behind his sister Lois Bedell of Long Island, NY, ten grandchildren: Robert, III, Eric and Kayla Gordon, Sean and Chelsae Gordon, Amy and Nicholas Phelan, Callie Cosio and her partner Miguel Rodriguez, Hannah and Andrei Nitescu and Mary Cosio, Cody Archambault and his partner Jacklyn Roussin, Alex Archambault and partner Megan McAuliffe and Ethan Archambault; and five great grandchildren. Robert was predeceased by his sister Doris Troescher.
