ATKINSON, NH – Robert J. Lonergan, 83, of Atkinson, NH passed away on Wednesday, July 26 at his home.

Robert was born on July 29, 1939 in Providence, RI to William T. and Evelyn (Hye) Lonergan. He was a graduate of Windham High School, Wilamantic, CT, Class of 1957, and then went on to study at Emerson College in Boston.  Robert proudly served in Vietnam in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967.  He later worked for the Honeywell Corporation as a buyer for many years. Robert had a great sense of humor and enjoyed traveling; he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Robert is survived by his wife Mary (McGraw) Lonergan, and his daughters Kathleen “Katy” Rosenfeld of Fairfield, CT and Elizabeth “Betsy” Napolitano of Ashburnham, MA.  He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Brittany, Miranda, Kyle, Logan, Kallie and Owen. Robert was predeceased by his brother William Lonergan.

ARRANGEMENTS:  Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, July 31 from 9AM until 10AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, 8 Atkinson Depot Road, Plaistow, NH.     I had the absolute pleasure of working with Bob @ Schneider Electric. In his buyer /planner role he was often such a big help to me in my role in Sales Support. So kind always and I will never forget his smile and laughter. My very deepest sympathies to all his family!
