Robert Thornton, Sr., 57 February 4, 1966 - May 1, 2023

HAVERHILL – Robert Thornton, Sr., 57, passed away unexpectedly at his home on the morning of Monday May 1st.

Robert spent his working days on the farms out in Massachusetts where he really enjoyed working with the animals. He also made time to teach his kids about the animals and teach them about farm work when they wanted to learn. Robert was a man who lived his life on the fun side, always looking to have a good time with his family and friends and will always be remembered with such bright memories. He leaves us all with a little special spot in our hearts that we know will always hold his goofy smile and amazing personality. He was a loved son, father, brother, uncle and friend to those who knew him. Robert will be missed dearly by all of his friends and family, who find such peace in knowing that he is now at rest with his mother, father and brother.

Robert is survived by his son Robert A. Thornton, Jr., Bradford, daughter Meghan and her husband Chet Straw, Belmont, NH; brothers Edward “Butch” Thornton and his wife Judy, Haverhill, Dana Thornton and his wife Jo-Ann, Derry, NH, and Brian Thornton, Raymond, NH . He also leaves behind his nephew Edward, his grandchildren, and many other family members.

He was predeceased by his parents Edward W. and Betty (Markham) Thornton, and a brother Roger Thornton.
