Wells, ME – Robert W. Brown, 69 of Wells, ME, formerly of Haverhill, passed away Friday June 24 with his partner by his side at the St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston after a year and a half battle with complications from COVID 19.
Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late, Ralph L. and Harriet A. (Paul) Brown. He attended Haverhill public schools and was a Graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1971. Robert was employed at the Raytheon Corporation in Andover for the past eleven years. He was previously employed at the former Lucent Technologies in North Andover for twenty-seven years.
Robert loved the beach and ocean and moved to Ogunquit, Maine where he lived with his partner of thirty-eight years, Ronald Bergeron. As they were thinking about retirement, they decided to downsize and moved to Wells and were looking to buy property in Florida until he became ill. Robert was a workaholic and homebody but couldn’t stand still, he always stayed busy whether it was walks to the beach or around town or working around his yard.
He leaves his loving partner; Ronald Bergeron, of Wells, ME, Ronald’s children whom he considered his own; Christine Bergeron, of Lowell, and Steven and his wife Jennifer Bergeron, of Dracut, his children; Mark and his wife, Jamie, of Dover, NH and Michael and his wife, Amanda, of Presque Isle, ME, nine grandchildren; Cameron, Gage, Jacob, Jacqueline and Joseph Brown, Jason and Macey Bergeron, Domenic and Anthony Masello, three great grandchildren; Olivia, Emily, and Henry Masello, siblings; Les “Sonny” Brown, of Bradford, Gerald and Mary Brown, of Haverhill, Ralph Brown, of Haverhill, and Fay and Steve Belanger, of Plaistow and several nieces and nephews all of whom will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his sisters; Paula St. Jean and Mary Adams and brothers; Ronald and Richard Brown and sister in law Ellen Brown.
