Roxa M. Howes (Farrar), 93, of Haverhill, died on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at the Lawrence General Hospital.

Roxa was born in Haverhill on December 8, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Martha A. (Brown) Farrar.

Roxa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who had a great sense of humor. She loved spending time with family at cookouts and playing cards with the grandchildren. She always had a smile on her face, especially when she received anything chocolate. One of her favorite things to do was to go to the Seashell at Hampton Beach to listen to the music, dance and have her scallop and haddock plate.

Roxa was the loving mother of Diane N. Adams and her husband David of Haverhill, Norman K. Howes, Jr. and his wife Debbie Howes of Hampton, NH., Teresa J. Howes and her late fiance Michael Jacoby of Haverhill. She was the cherished grandmother of Stephen Cullinane of Haverhill, Nicholas Adams and his fiance Danelle Woodman of Fremont, NH, Jason Adams and his fiance Jessica Hunt of Haverhill,and Christopher Adams of Haverhill. Norman Howes III and his wife Emily Howes of Forestville,NY, Michelle Howes and her fiance Dave Irwin of Greenville,NH and Amanda and her husband Shawn Silva-Cosgrove of Hampton, NH. Roxa was the great grandmother to eighteen wonderful children as follows: Taylor,Alice,Jesse,Kaci,Gabriella,Crystal,Nathan,Amyia,Logan,Lacey,Aaron, Jessica,Jenna,Logan,Lorelai,Morgana,Jasper and Aurora. Roxa was also the great great grandmother to Olivia,Allison and Grayson. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Norman K. Howes, her son David F. Howes.
