HAVERHILL – Ruben A. Aviles 40, of Haverhill passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Boston Medical Center.

Ruben was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on July 28, 1983 to Juan Aviles and Maria Milagros Ramos. He attended both Lawrence and Andover schools and most recently worked as a mechanical assembler for Edwards Vacuum in Haverhill. Ruben was extremely close to and lived with his father. He enjoyed watching sports, horse racing and listening to music. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and love for his daughter and family.

Ruben is survived by his father Juan Aviles, of Haverhill, his daughter Laila Aviles. Brothers Kenneth Yeung, Milton Aviles, Emmett and his wife Melissa Yeung and his sisters Maria Aviles, Angelica Aviles and Militza and her husband Dan Karahalios. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews Arianna, Meah, Elizabeth, Tristan, Kenny Lee, Kiara, Marcus, Levi and Logan. Ruben was predeceased by his mother Maria Milagros Ramos, of Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico.

    Ruben.. I’m lost for words. Everyday I’m thinking of you n how much fun we had n the laughs . The way u called me mama g. I loved you like a son got mad at u like a son .. the superbowls party’s we had n oh my goodness u would say when u disagreed with me. All those Patriots ornaments u bought me ill cherish even more than I did before. U will be alive in your daughter n always be remembered n loved . Rest in peace.. fly high
