HAVERHILL – Ruth R. (Hill) Currier, 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1 at Cedar View Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Born in Groveland, Ruth was the daughter of Ernest and Ethel (Morse) Hill and was a graduate of Groveland High School. A dedicated homemaker, Ruth was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved baking cookies, working in her flower garden, taking day trips to the casino, and road trips to the mountains and the beach. She was a practical joker with a great sense of humor and loved spending holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, together with her family.
Ruth is survived by her children Diane Kimbrell of Rumford, ME, Patricia Martin and her husband Thomas of Haverhill, JoAnn Currier of Rochester, NH, Barbara and Jeffrey Locke of Brookfield, NH, Coleen Currier of Danville, NH and Jeffrey Currier. She also leaves behind her sister Rachel Carter of Raymond, NH, her ten grandchildren James Szpyt, Kelly Szpyt, Marianne Szpyt, Laurie Szpyt, Ashley Devine, Samantha Conwell, Ian Martin, Joseph Paquette, Justin Paquette and Alea Dechane and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband Roland G. Currier, her daughters Glenda Jean Kimbrell and Kathleen Kimbrell Szpyt, her brothers Howard Hill and George Hill, and her sisters Faith Hill Parker, Ernestine Twombly, and Hope Hill.
