Sandra P. (Ramsey) Sterling, 87 August 6, 1937 - May 28, 2025

HAVERHILL – Sandra P. (Ramsey) Sterling, 87, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025 at the Haverhill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

Born on August 6, 1937 in Haverhill, Sandra was the daughter of George F. and Beatrice (Bourk) Ramsey, and a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1955. In 1957 she was crowned Miss Massachusetts and went on to the Miss USA pageant, where she was one of 15 finalists. A brief modeling career was followed by operating her own export business for many years. Sandra loved living amongst nature in the family home in Bartlett, NH and she continued her work at The Grand Summit Hotel at Bear Park. Sandra eventually turned to painting as a form of therapy after facing several health and mobility challenges throughout the years. She became an avid artist who displayed many of her works both at the nursing home in Haverhill and in surrounding communities.

Sandra is survived by her sons John Debitetto and his wife Pamela of Amesbury, Mark Debitetto and his wife Nancy of Tamworth, NH, and James Debitetto and his wife Nichada of Bartlett, NH. She also leaves behind grandchildren Amanda Debitetto, Christina Debitetto and her husband Liam Leary, Matthew Debitetto, Michael Debitetto and his wife Brianna, Kyle Langlois and his wife Kerri, Dennis Driftmeyer and Angelina Driftmeyer, as well as four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Richard Sterling in 2002.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, June 1 from 2PM until 5PM at the Kevin Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. A funeral home chapel service will be celebrated on Monday, June 2 at 10AM. A private burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, East Broadway, Haverhill.
