Merrimac – Sheila A. Michelin, 79, of Merrimac, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at her home.

Sheila was born on July 21, 1945 in Amesbury, she was the daughter of  the late, Joseph F. and Cecile A. (Lizotte) Michelin, Sr. and was educated in Merrimac Public Schools.  She loved creating arts and crafts, puzzles, word searches and enjoyed spending time with friends at Sarah’s Place in Haverhill. Sheila was a sweet and innocent soul of a person and despite being stricken with a debilitating illness as a young child, she lived a long, joyous life filled with love from family and many friends.

Sheila was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend. She is survived by her sister Josephine Sanborn of Merrimac, and her sister Teresa “Cooky” Sheehan and her husband Paul, of Mesquite, Nevada and her nieces and nephews: Cynthia A. Hume of Plaistow, NH, Joseph Michelin III of Chapin, South Carolina, Nancy Dow of Salisbury, Linda Souther of Epping, NH, Diana Benson of East Kingston, NH, Patricia Moran of Seabrook, NH and Todd Sheehan of California; as well as several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Michelin, Jr.

Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, May 29th from 4PM until 6PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 30th at 11AM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery, Merrimac.
