Tia Catrina (Smith) Chartier August 23, 1966 - November 15, 2019

Haverhill – Tia Catrina (Smith) Chartier, 53, passed away November 15, 2019 at her home in Haverhill.

Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lorna (Bonnell) Charoux. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she was a graduate of Whittier Tech, specializing in Hairdressing, Class of 1984. Tia attended Northern Essex Community College, obtaining her Real Estate License. An entrepreneur by nature, Tia was a modern day “jack of all trades”. Not only being a hairdresser and selling real estate, she opened her own home day care center which she ran out of her home for years. She was also a social worker at the local YWCA. Tia enjoyed going to the beach, traveling and cooking for her family. A devoted mother and grandmother, she will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Tia is survived by her son, Raymond K. Maloney and Alyssa Lariviere of Kensington, NH; her grandchildren, Mason and Maxtin Maloney; and her closest friend of over 35 years, Victoria Tello Ashworth; and many extended family members and friends.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of Tia’s life on Sunday, November 24 from 12:00PM until 4:00PM with a service at 1:00PM at the Wilbur Comeau American Legion, Post 4, 1314 Main Street, Haverhill. Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tia Chartier Memorial Fund: https://www.gofundme.com.
