Vincenza L. (Bodoni) Jacques, 100 October 1, 1924 - March 4, 2025

HAVERHILL – Vincenza L. (Bodoni) Jacques, passed away March 4th 2025 at the age of 100 years, 5 months, and 4 days but who’s counting?

Born in East Boston on October 1, 1924, she was the daughter of Julio D. and Concetta Bodoni; and she was the sister of the Bodoni clan: Philip, S. John, Julio A., John L., and Ursula. Vincenza was the widow of Louie Jacques of Framingham MA. She graduated from Everett High School in June of 1942and a former resident of Gloucester, Framingham, and Amesbury. She was known for her many talents and her strong will. She worked as a private secretary for executives in Gloucester and Boston, including at Home Insurance. She also was the former owner of The Bronze Lantern restaurant in Trenton Maine. She would always make sure you left with a full belly, a clean plate, and a smile on your face.

Vincenza is survived by her sister Ursula (Bodoni) Melanson of Norfolk VA and Georgetown MA, her brother Julio A. Bodoni of Rockport MA, her nieces Diane Melanson of San Francisco CA and Elyse (Melanson) Hood of Norfolk VA, and her great niece Sarah (Melanson) Aaronian and her husband Michael Aaronian of Georgetown MA. She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and those whose lives she touched.
