Winifred Nault February 19, 1937 - July 20, 2020

Haverhill – Winifred Nault, 83, passed away July 20, 2020 at home with her loving family by her side.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred L. and Maretta M. (Moore) King. Raised and educated in Chelsea, she was a graduate of Chelsea High School, Class of 1955. Her first job was with Atkinson Shoe before she worked at the former First National Bank of Boston and Bank of America as an administrative secretary, retiring after over 30 years. She loved to travel and did extensively in Europe, visiting Ireland, Portugal and many other countries. An avid shopper, she was often found at the former Filene’s Basement in Boston and always took her family to museums, plays and concerts. She loved the holidays and spending time with her beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Family meant everything to her and was her life. With her family, she was the caretaker of the former Saltonstall Park on Kenoza Avenue, keeping it clean and received many plaques from the City of Haverhill for her tireless work. A woman of very strong faith, she was a communicant of St. James Church in Haverhill. Winnie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sisters, Patricia Carroll of Medford; her brother, George King III and his wife Constanza of Lynn; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Josephine D’Elia, Maretta Anzalone and Kitty Gaff, her brother Richard Helpert; and her step mother, Patricia Nault and stepfather, George King II.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, July 22 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Thursday morning at 10:00AM. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm Street, Everett.
