Lawrence – Yadira Fermin, 68, wife of Victor Fermin, passed away April 4, 2019 at Cedar View Nursing Home in Methuen with her loving family by her side.
Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, she was the son of Yrma Urena of New York and the late Daniel Urena. She was raised and educated in the Dominican Republic and immigrated to the United States when she was 18 years old. Yadira lived in New York until moving to Lawrence in the early 1970’s. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and traveling. Yadira’s greatest joy was making her three grandchildren happy. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her loving husband Victor and mother Yrma, she is survived by her children, Daniel Fermin of Methuen; Michelle Fermin of Salem, NH; her brother, Juan Urena of Lawrence; sisters, Jasmin Vasquez, Jocelyn Urena and Yodalis Urena, all of New York; three grandchildren, Alex Martinez, Jazlin Fermin and Jesabelle Fermin; and several nieces and nephews.
