Big enough to serve you, small enough to know you.

Jonathan M. Godfrey

Haverhill – Jonathan M. Godfrey, 59, husband of Dawna J. (Spearin) Godfrey, passed away August 24, 2019 at his home.

Born in Somerville, he was the son of the late Warren and Dorothy (Poshian) Godfrey. Raised and educated in Randolph, he was a graduate of Randolph High School, Class of 1977. He worked as a stagehand on concerts, plays, movies and at just about every venue throughout the Boston area. Jonathan loved to golf, was a classic rock fan and was a big Boston sports fan, especially the New England Patriots. Known for his dry sense of humor and funny wit, he was always there for his friends and family, helping out whenever he could. Jim, Erik and Jim…my deepest, heartfelt condolences to you and all of your family and friends…to all who knew and loved Kathleen, Kath, Kathy, Sargent Marino, Auntie Kathy, Hon, Mom, Mama…friend. Although I knew her for just a snip-it of time in her beautiful life…she touched me deeply…kindred spirits perhaps? I only wish I had known her sooner, shared more laughs and made more memories. But those we did make will be with me always. Honor, Grace, Integrity, and the commitment to love and care for others…personally, and professionally…what a legacy! What an inspiration! I will truly miss her…and know I will think of her often throughout my life and my career. Goodnight Kathleen…

So sorry to hear about Jonathan. I lived on Phyllis Dr just a few houses away from him. He was a lot of fun. Thoughts and prayers to his entire family. May he RIP.

    Jon, God Bless You.

To the family, I worked with Jon for 30 years with IATSE 11.
Sorry I was unable to attend tonight. My brother-law was laid to rest this afternoon at the VA National Cemetery on Cape Cod.
    May Jon rest in peace.
