Irene M. (Richards) Young

Haverhill – Irene M. (Richards) Young, 79, wife of James E. Young, passed away peacefully September 2, 2019 at High Pointe Hospice in Haverhill.

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Nellie (Dunlap) Richards. Raised and educated in Lynn, she attended Lynn Classical and Northern Essex Community College, Northeastern University and UMass at Amherst. Irene lived in Maine, New York and Lynn before moving to Groveland. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Al Crepeau Construction, Treasurer for the town of Groveland and then retired from Great Bay Kids Company in Exeter, NH .  Irene will always be remembered for her caring and generosity by all who knew her.

In addition to her loving husband James, she is survived by her children, Jennifer I Orlando and her husband Vincent of Bradford; Dianne M. Carr of Salem, NH; Kenneth M. Guilmain-Young and his wife Kerri Guilmain of Litchfield, NH; step-son, Keith E. Young and his wife Caryn S. of No. Andover; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her step-son Mark Young, and brother Ernest “Buddy” Richards who passed away in 1997.

 

At the request of Irene’s family services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
