Lloyd R. ”Chub” Smith

Llyod R. “Chub” Smith 66 passed away February 20, 2022 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton, MA.

Born in Haverhill MA, he was the son of the late Robert Smith and Delmar (Butcher) Smith of Haverhill. He was raised and educated in the Haverhill area.

Chub worked as a mason in the construction business for many years throughout the Merrimack Valley area.  He loved to go camping in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and enjoyed fishing.  Chub was a great friend to all and loved by many.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Chub is survived by his granddaughter Aleah Smith of Haverhill; his brother Donald Smith of Haverhill, Donna Smith of Deland FL, Gail Smith of Haverhill, Robert Smith of Haverhill, and sister Lisa Smith of Haverhill, along with his nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his sons Eric Smith and Jami Smith and brothers Lenny Smith and Shawn Smith.

    So sorry to hear of Chubs passing. He Spent many many years working with Lee in Masonry as partners and life-long friends. Our sincere condolences to the family.

    I remember Chubby from when we were kids riding horses together. We were around 12 years old. My horse was Duke. I remember him fondly. My deepest sympathies to the family .
