Haverhill – Michael A. Walker, Jr. 50, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on March 9, 2022 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Michael Walker Sr. and Patricia (Corneau) Colantoni. He was raised by Patricia Walker and Hazel Sweeney. Michael was a graduate of Haverhill High School and attended a culinary arts school. He loved to cook and was a chef in many restaurants in the Haverhill area and Jacksonville, FL. He lived in the Jacksonville area for over 12 years with his then fiancé Norma Repollet before moving back to Haverhill in 2016. Michael enjoyed dancing and listening to the old school R&B music. He had a flare for the modeling profession as a younger gentleman and was an avid sports fan, his favorite teams were the New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics. He made friends with everyone and wherever he went, with his beautiful smile and gift of conversation. He was devoted to his family and cherished his time with them. Michael will be missed by all his family and friends.

Michael is survived by his children, Shantel Cruz and her husband Ezequiel of Bradford, Mahne Walker of Orange Park, FL and Michael A. Walker, III of Orange Park, FL; three grandchildren, Lianah, Janiyah and Ezra Cruz; his siblings, Danielle Lopez and her husband David of Haverhill, Michelle Walker of Seabrook, NH and Justin Walker of Haverhill; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his brother, Shane M. Walker.

    My deepest condolences on Michael’s passing. He was a very sweet, friendly, and welcoming person. His presence was a blessing and I was lucky to have met him. His work on earth is complete and he may rest in peace. ????
