John E. Zipko, 73

Haverhill – John Edward Zipko, 73, a lifelong Haverhill resident, passed away suddenly on Wednesday July 13, 2022 while working in his yard.                                                                                                                                                         Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late, John A. and Blanche (Szulc) Zipko. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School, Class of 1966. He was owner and operator of Zip’s Contracting, painting, snow plow, carpentry and many other construction services, working in the Merrimack Valley area for many years. John was an avid outdoorsman and conservationist who enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. John will be missed by his many friends and family.

John is survived by nephews and niece, Michael ZipKo and his wife Amy of Ellsworth, WI; Maria Lancaster and her husband Dan of St. Paul, MN; Christopher Zipko and his wife Elizabeth of Grant, MN; Timothy Zipko of St. Paul, MN; and sister in law Tina Zipko of Maplewood, MN. He was predeceased by his brother Leroy Zipko.
