Jose A. Nunez Figueroa, 70

HAVERHILL – Jose A. Nunez Figueroa, a devoted father and grandfather passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on October 13, 2025.

Born in Ciales, PR he was the son of the late Carmen Figueroa Guevara and Salvador Nunez Gonzalez. He worked at General instrument for many years in Puerto Rico, until he came to Haverhill in 1997, and then worked at Walmart until his return to Puerto Rico. Jose enjoyed farming and was known for his kind, caring and friendly personality. He loved his family and was close to his sons and his daughter. He will be remembered as a good father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jose is survived by his daughter Johana Nunez; his son Jose Nunez and his wife Amaris Oquendo; and his son Jaime Nunez, all of Haverhill. He also leaves behind his siblings: Rafael Nunez Figueroa, Carmen Nunez Figueroa, Iris Nunez and Eliezer Nunez; his grandchildren: Jason, Myrom, Joanilca, Jesse, Destiny, Leo, Deandra, Delyzabeth, Isaac, Gabriel, Johmaris, Jeremy, Brianna, Jesiah, Darby and Tatiana; his great grandchildren: Nevaeh, Eleanor, Elora, and Anais; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Luis Nunez, Salvador Nunez Jr., and Carlos Nunez.
