Joyce (Herron) (Goutier) Gigliotti, 90, of Haverhill passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 2, 2026 at Penacook Nursing Home.
Joyce was born in Beverly on February 5, 1935 to George and Alta (Cheney) Herron. She was a graduate of Littleton High School in New Hampshire and worked for many years as a Telephone Operator. She was married her late husband Anthony E. Gigliotti from 1982 until his passing in 2019. Joyce enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening, mushroom hunting and day trips to the beach. She was a great cook and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Joyce is survived by her daughter in law Carol A. Shaw of Haverhill, and her sister Diane Roussell of Valrico, FL. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Brian Dennis Goutier, Erin Shaw, Ian Shaw; great grandchildren Shyla Shaw, Dante Shaw, Jackson Baily, Violet Baily, James Baily, Murphy Barton and Luzian Shaw; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony E. Gigliotti and her son Brian “Butch” Goutier. She also had several nieces and nephews. Her family would like to thank past and present employees of Penacook nursing Home for the kind and compassionate care given to Joyce, affectionately called “The Operator”.
