Eric J. Stevenson, 43, of Haverhill, died Tuesday, August 9 at his home surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.Born and raised in Tewksbury, he was the son of Thomas D. Stevenson and Donna M. (Barry). He attended Tewksbury Public Schools and was a Graduate of Tewksbury High School, Class of 1985.Born a natural musician, his musical talents were extraordinary. Throughout his life his music grew with him. He started young playing in local bands with his brother, Kevin, and would eventually tour with the band “Only Living Witness” throughout the United States and Europe. A gifted singer and songwriter, he would produce his own CD, entitled, “Dead Horse Town” in which he plays every instrument. He was employed as a technician for Herley Industries Inc, in Woburn. For the past four years however, he enjoyed the most fulfilling job of his life being a stay at home dad and taking care of his young son, Thomas.He leaves his beloved wife, Cheryl A. (Anderson) and cherished son, Thomas James, his parents, Thomas D. Stevenson and his significant other, Kathy Goss, of Tewksbury, mother, Donna M. Stevenson and her significant other, Paul Richard, of Hudson, NH, brother, Kevin P. Stevenson, of Tewksbury, mother in law, Pauline Anderson, of Haverhill, brothers and sisters in law, William and Melissa Anderson, of Lawrence, and Donna and John Blanchard, of Littleton, NH, aunts and uncles, Nancy and Donald Johnston, Dianne and James Kelley, Patricia and Robert Petitpas, a niece, Laura Hartman, and several cousins, all of whom will miss him dearly along with his quick wit and great sense of humor.Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Saturday from 2 until 5 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 5 PM. Burial is private.
