Joseph Thomas Duchemin, 59, of Haverhill, died Monday, January 21, 2013 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a lengthy illness.Born, raised and educated in Haverhill, he was the son of the late, Thomas and Mary H. (Streeter) Duchemin. He was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School, class of 1971. For most of his career, Mr. Duchemin was employed as a laminator operator at Vernon Plastics Company, and later worked for Dunkin Donuts as a truck driver.He leaves his wife, Barbara M. (Zilka) Duchemin, of Haverhill, two sons, Chad J. Duchemin, of Haverhill, Robert J. Duchemin, of Salem, NH, a daughter, Catherine Plunkett and her husband, Robert, of Goffstown, NH, a brother, Jeffrey Duchemin and his wife, Becky, of Powder Springs, Georgia, two sisters, Nancy Cherry, of Linwood, WA, and Patricia Pruitt, of Turners Falls, and several nieces and nephews. In addition he leaves his extended family, Mary Sweeney, of Haverhill, her children, John Sweeney and his wife, Tammy, of Jefferson, IN, Stephanie Woodsum and her husband, Chris, of Haverhill, David Sweeney, of Danvers, and Serena Sweeney, of Haverhill, seven grandchildren, Sapphire, Paige, Alex and Hunter Sweeney, Michael Butler and Hailey and Kyle Woodsum.Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service for Mr. Duchemin on Friday at 6:30 PM in the Kevin B.
