Gary J. Dowaliby, 58, of Haverhill, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009 at the Oxford in Haverhill, after a lengthy illness.Born in Methuen, he was the son of the late John J. and Mary (Savinelli) Dowaliby. He attended Methuen public schools and was a graduate of Methuen High School, Class of 1969, and attended Salem State College.Mr. Dowaliby was employed as a rigger at various boat yards in the Cape Ann area. He also worked as a construction laborer.He leaves his beloved wife of 12 years, Marilu (Chambless) Dowaliby, of Haverhill stepchildren, Mark Vinton, of Haverhill, and Kimberly Burns and her husband, Malcolm, of Amesbury two brothers, John and his wife Ellen, and David, all of North Andover grandchildren, Rebecca, Malcolm, Nicholas, Mark, and Julie.
