Marilyn K. (LaPierre) Thornhill, 80, of Epping, N.H., formerly of Atkinson, N.H., and Haverhill, died Wednesday, March 8, 2011 at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, N.H., after a lengthy illness.She was born in Haverhill, and was raised by her late mother and step-father, James Linehan and Katherine F. (Wedge). She attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1948. She attended Northern Essex Community College and received her degree in nursing. As a Registered Nurse, Mrs. Thornhill was employed at a variety of many community hospitals, spending more than 20 years at the former Hale Hospital in Haverhill.She leaves her eight children, Corliss E. “Chuck” Thornhill Jr. and his wife Francine of Salem, Bruce P. Thornhill of Nottingham, N.H., Mark S. Thornhill of Texas, James A. “Jay” Thornhill and his wife Donna of Derry, N.H., Katherine M. Dufresne and her husband Norman of North Carolina, Deborah A. Thornhilland her partner Joyce Armstrong of Epping, N.H., Stephanie J. Sulesky and her husband Roger of Haverhill, Valerie J. Milot of Northwood, N.H. five grandchildren, Mark Thornhill, Nina and Amy Dufresne, Jonathon Brown, and Erika Thornhill and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Leo LaPierre, Patricia Agnew, and Margaret Brown.ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service on Monday, March 14, at 10 a.m. at the Kevin B.
