Bruce Peter Thornhill, 59, of Epping, NH, formerly of Haverhill, died Monday June 24, 2013 at the Manchester Veteran’s Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late, Corliss E. Sr. and Marilyn K. (LaPierre) Thornhill. He Attended Haverhill public schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1971. He enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1975 and was honorably discharged in 1976.Mr. Thornhill was a “Jack of all trades”. A skilled carpenter, he ran his own contracting business. Great at working with his hands, he was a good mechanic and enjoyed tinkering with his cars. He gave time to his community and his church, always ready to provide his skills to those in need.He leaves his siblings, Corliss E. “Chuck” Thornhill, of Salem, MA, Mark S. Thornhill., of Texas, James A. “Jay” Thornhill and his wife, Donna, of Derry, NH, Katherine M. Dufresne and her husband, Norman, of North Carolina, Deborah A. Thornhill and her partner Joyce Armstrong, of Epping, NH, Stephanie J. Sulesky and her husband Roger, of Haverhill, Valerie J. Milot, of Northwood, NH, and several nieces and nephews.Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until Noon at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. A memorial service with Military Honors will take place at noon in the funeral home.
