Haverhill – Felix Padilla, 58, of Danville, NH, formerly of Haverhill, died Monday, November 4, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Felix was the son of Armando Padilla Figueroa and Cruz Velazquez de Padilla. Raised in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1975 and attended Northern Essex Community College. Mr. Padilla was employed as a Machine Operator for the A.W. Chesterton Company in Groveland for 5 years. Felix enjoyed taking trips throughout NE, going to the beach and swimming with the family dog, Picasso. As a pastime he enjoyed working on computers. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and thirteen grandchildren, visiting farms, apple picking and all outdoor seasonal activities. He also enjoyed family parties with his in laws indulging in his culture with Latin music, food, and karaoke. He leaves behind his best friend and beloved wife of twenty-six years, Griselda (Sanchez) Padilla, of Danville, NH. Besides his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Kyle and his wife Jennifer Andino of McGuire AFB, NJ, Shaun and his wife Nicole Padilla of Methuen, MA, three daughters Michelle Andino of Danville, NH, Tanya Padilla and her partner, Anna Gonzales of Denver, CO, and Chrissy and her husband, Jose Rivera of Haverhill, MA. He had five brothers, Nelson Vargas, of PR, Louis Valezquez and his wife Rosin, of Hampton, MA, Jesus Padilla, of Philadelphia, PA, Alvin Padilla and his wife Cathy of Haverhill, MA and Johnny Padilla, of FL, four sisters, Evelyn Cirilo and her husband, Michael of FL, Isabel Padilla of FL, Miriam Velazquez and her spouse Victor of PR, and Altagracia Villafane, of FL, and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind thirteen beloved grandchildren, Jalisa who attends Suffolk University, Adelise who attends UMass of Amherst and Natalia of NH, Jameson, Taliah, and Kade of McGuire AFB, NJ, Antonio and Aviana of Denver, CO, Shayla, Madeline and Cameron of Methuen, and Elian and Nayli of Bradford.Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave. Haverhill, MA01830.Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Thursday from 4 until 7 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning beginning at 9:00 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. James Church, Winter St. Haverhill.
