Haverhill – Alice May McComiskey, 56, of Interlachen, Florida, formerly of Haverhill, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital after being stricken ill suddenly at the home of her daughter.Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of Albert E. McComiskey and the late, Amelia (Goodrich) McComiskey. She attended Chelsea Public Schools and was a graduate of Chelsea High School, class of 1976.She was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years at various nursing homes in the area. Her passion was that as a self employed collector of odds and ends, she enjoyed treasure hunting for reselling at local flea markets. She could never pass a yard sale without stopping to see what she could find. She had a great sense of humor and lived for her children and grandchildren. A devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, she leaves her loving children, Ronald J. LaRose, Sean T. LaRose, and Jennifer A. LaRose, all of Haverhill, three brothers, Albert E. McComiskey Jr. and his wife, Patricia, James L. McComiskey and his wife Patricia, all of Haverhill, and Edward McComiskey and his wife, Bonnie, of Interlachen, FL, three sisters, Linda J. Augustonovich, of Andover, Elizabeth Kakides, of Haverhill, and Tina Whitney and her husband, Jay, of Salisbury, cherished grandchildren, Alice Cullinane, Glenn Allen Jr., Jacquilyn LaRose, Mackenzie LaRose, and Madison LaRose. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Funeral services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill.
