Haverhill – Marie K. (Finnin) LaBatte, 70, of Haverhill, died Sunday, February 23 at the Oxford Nursing Home in Haverhill, surrounded by her loving family.Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late, John and Rose M. (Roberts) Finnin. Raised in Haverhill, she attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1961.Mrs. LaBatte was employed at the former Western Electric as an assembler and later a Q.C. Inspector. She worked in the North Andover plant for thirty-four years, retiring in 1995. An avid movie buff, she also enjoyed country and gospel music. She loved taking day trips to Salisbury beach and Foxwoods, and going shopping.A devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt, she leaves her beloved husband of forty-one years, Rene R. LaBatte, and a loving daughter, Holly Ann LaBatte, both of Haverhill, two brothers, John A. Finnin, and his wife Irene, and Wayne P. Goodrich, also of Haverhill, a sister, Jane McLaughlin, of Atkinson, NH, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Monte Goodrich.Funeral services for Mrs. LaBatte are private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kevin B.
