Haverhill – Margaret L. (Comeau) Dupont, 92, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 15, 2014 at the Penacook Place Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of Fred J. and Mary Rose (McLaughlin) Comeau. Educated in Haverhill, she was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1940.Mrs. Dupont was employed at Carol’s Gift shop in Haverhill fore over thirty years. She also worked in the office at Sacred Hearts School and rectory for ten years until her retirement.Margaret loved vacationing in North Conway with her family. A social butterfly, she enjoyed planning as much as attending parties. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she leaves her beloved husband of seventy years, Joseph A. Dupont of Haverhill, a daughter, Donna M. Ryan of Bradford, four cherished grandchildren, Maureen Early and her husband William, Matthew Ryan and his wife, Amy (Chiefari), Melissa (Perrone) White, and Christopher Perrone, all of Haverhill, six great grandchildren, Taylor Early, Sara Early, Luke Ryan, Jake Ryan, Sydney White, and Madison White, three sisters, Dorothy Credit, Pauline Greenleaf, and Cecile “Minna” Rayjotte, all of Haverhill, a son in law, William Perrone, of Bradford, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Judith E. Perrone and brothers, Gerald, Fred, and Daniel Comeau, and sisters, Joanne Clohecy and Yvonne Collins.Mrs. Dupont’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the entire staff for the care given to her during her stay at Penacook Place. Donna would also wish to thank her daughter, Maureen for the love and care always shown to her grandmother.Services for Mrs. Dupont are private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kevin B.
