Haverhill – Claire Louise Bouley, 87, of, Holyoke, formerly of Haverhill, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Mont Marie Health Care Center.Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late, I. Alfred and Ludowyna E. (Rivard) Bouley. She attended St. Joseph Grammar School and St. James High School, class of 1945. She continued her education and received her Master’s Degree in Education from Regis College.Claire was a former Sister of St. Joseph serving as Sr. Louisette for over twenty-five years. She taught in the Ukraine for many years and upon her return home was active in the student exchange program, bringing many students from the Ukraine to Western Massachusetts. Until recently, Claire was employed as an English Professor at the Holyoke Community College. An avid reader, she also proof read books for many publishing houses.She is survived by her brother and sister in law, Albert A. and Jeannette A. (Bishop) Bouley, of Haverhill, a nephew, Steven D. Bouley and his wife, Tracey, of Manchester, NH, two nieces Diane C. Bouley, of Haverhill, and Michele T. Bouley and her husband, Ed Williams, of Fremont, NH, three grandnieces, Becky Blaine, Elizabeth Janvrin, and Nicole Bouley, and grandnephew, Daniel Bouley, eight great grandnieces and great grandnephews and several cousins.Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend A Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday morning at 11:00 AM at All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill.
