Haverhill – Eileen P. (Donovan) St. Pierre, 79, passed away January 18, 2016 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, surrounded by her loving family.Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mildred E. (Jenkins) Donovan. She grew up in Medford, and was a graduate of St. Clements High School, Class of 1954. She married Norman A. St. Pierre in 1959, and began her family. After living in Georgetown for four years, she moved to Haverhill, where she would live for the rest of her life.Eileen was a truly loving and devoted mother and grandmother for whom her family was the center of her life. Her generosity was boundless, always giving, always doing for others. She took great pleasure in hosting and entertaining, and especially enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas in the wonderfully warm home that she made.She enjoyed the affection and comradery of all her countless friends at the 99 Restaurant and Smitty’s Tavern, all of whom were a constant source of laughter, comfort and support.Many of her happiest years were spent at Pine’s Acres Campground, on Newfound Lake, in Bristol NH, where she made some of her most lasting friendships, and indelible, joyful memories. Later in her life, she found much peace and love and tranquility at her sister Kathy’s cottage, on the coast of Falmouth, ME.Eileen is survived by her three immensely grateful, though broken-hearted, sons: Norman A. St. Pierre. Jr. and his wife Colleen, of Harwich Gary P. St. Pierre of Haverhill and Scott J. St. Pierre and his wife Susan, of Pelham, NH. She is also survived by her four beautiful grandchildren who were her greatest source of joy: Jacqueline St. Pierre (the artist) Ryan St. Pierre (the athlete), Sean St. Pierre (the dancer), and Michael St. Pierre (the athlete).She also leaves behind a brother, Thomas Donovan and his wife Patricia, of Tilton, NH and three sisters, Carol Lane of Haverhill Mary Reed of Arlington and Kathy Kelly of Malden and several nieces and nephews.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday.
