Cape Coral, FL – Yvette H. (Martin) Vallieres, 92, wife of the late Adolphe E. Vallieres, passed away at her home in Cape Coral FL surrounded by her loving Florida family.Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Paul E. and Roseanna (Hevey) Martin. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she was a graduate of St. Joseph Grammar School and Haverhill High School, Class of 1941. Yvette worked at the original Western Electric on Locust St, was a bookkeeper, and retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 1985. Yvette was a woman of strong faith. She visited many of the Marian Shrines across the world and was a devotee of the Blessed Mother. She was an Associate of the Sisters of Charity of Ottowa, the Ladies of St. Ann at St. Joseph’s Church in Haverhill and was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph’s. She was also a member of Le Cercle Jeanne Manse, Lowell, an organization that preserved and promoted the French heritage of which she was so proud. Yvette loved to travel visiting Mexico, many of the provinces of Canada, all of the United States, and many European countries. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.She is survived by her children, Theresa Bickford of Cape Coral, FL Anne Koch and her husband John of West Edmeston, NY William Vallieres and his wife Maureen (Cianca) of Derry, NH Rene Vallieres and his wife Liza of Cape Coral, FL Marc Vallieres and his wife Susan of Newburyport and Michael Vallieres and his wife Maureen (Bergeron) of Haverhill twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren brothers Gerard G. Martin of Haverhill and Rev. Normand J. Martin, SM of Boston and her sister, Sister Therese Martin, SCO of Lowell. She was predeceased by her sister Lillian P. Bentley and her brother Joseph R. Martin who passed away on February 10, 2016. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, February 29 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday morning at 9:00AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM at All Saints Parish, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hilldale Avenue, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Joseph School in her memory.
