Hampstead, NH – Barbara P. (Panneton) Gilbert, 75, passed away on Friday, March 25 at Lawrence General Hospital with her loving family by her side.Born in Haverhill she was the daughter of the late Roland A. and Lorraine (Paquette) McDermott. She was raised and educated in Haverhill she attended St. Joseph’s Grammar School and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1958. For over forty-two years she was employed with the City of Haverhill. Beginning her career in the Police Department, she transferred to the Highway Department as Principal Clerk. Barbara enjoyed knitting, cooking and shopping. She was a homemaker and loved to entertain at her home poolside. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Surviving Barbara are her children, Joseph R. Patuto, of Saugus, Drew F. Patuto, of Haverhill her 3 grandchildren, Ashley C. Patuto, Joseph R. Patuto and Jeffrey C. Patuto one great grandchild, Alexa L. Patuto. She was predeceased by her son John C. Patuto, Jr. in 2009. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, March 30 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
