Brookline – Gladys G (Aguasvivas) Cruz, 60, wife of the late Fernando E. Cruz passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday June 11, 2016. Born in Sombrero, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of Candelario Baez and the late Altagracia Marina Aguasvivas. She was raised and educated in the Dominican Republic, moving to the United States in 1976 with her family, settling in Massachusetts. She resided in Lawrence and North Andover, finally settling in the Brookline area for the last twelve years. A devoted mother, she loved spending time with her family. Surviving her are her children, Jeffrey O. Cruz and his wife Faith of Methuen and Jovanny A. Cruz and his wife Joyce of Oviedo, FL her grandchildren, Elijah, Josmary, Jayla, and Jayven her siblings, Rudy, Dency, Melvin, Euclides, Delia, Dorki, Iris, Aracelis, Roselin and Wendy In addition to her husband and her mother, she was predeceased by her brother Tony. She was also a loving step-mother and step-grandmother, touching the lives of many. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, June 17 from 9:00AM until 12:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 29 Barker Street, Lawrence.
