Genevieve Augusta

Haverhill – Genevieve (Moran) Augusta, 93, of Haverhill, loving wife of the late, Louis A. Augusta, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Wingate of Haverhill on Thursday, July 14.Born in Newburyport, July 15, 1922, she was the daughter of the late, George and Leota (Ham) Moran. Raised in Haverhill, she attended Haverhill public schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School. Mrs. Augusta was employed a Licensed Practical Nurse, receiving her certification from the Lawrence Technical School. She trained at the Lawrence General Hospital and would continue her employment there for the next 30 years retiring at age 72.Genevieve loved the beach and spent many summers there. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working on crossword puzzles. Nothing brought her more enjoyment than time spent with family or road trips with friends.She leaves her loving children Carolee (Augusta) Spero, Margaret (Augusta) Russo and her husband, Lenny, and Linda Augusta, all of Haverhill, cheriched grandchildren Leota Sarrette, Joseph Spero, James Spero, Gena Spero, Daniel Spero, John Spero, Rachelle Spero, Emily Russo, Jonathon Russo, and Danielle Smith, all of Haverhill. She also leaves several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephws including Tom McGovern and his wife Joanne, Benny Scovotti, Billy and Bobby Augusta, and brother in law, Gabriel Augusta, also of Haverhill. She was predeceased by her sons Louis A. Augusta Jr, and Patrick J. Augusta.The family of Mrs. Augusta would like to thank the entire staff of the Wingate at Haverhill for the loving care she received during the past year.Funeral services for Mrs. Augusta are private.
