Haverhill – Peter Kritikos, 76, husband of Stavroula (Tzortzis) Kritikos, passed away on June 14 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen surrounded by his loving family.Born in Yerakas, Lacona, Greece he was the son of the late Kostas and Efrosini (Leka) Kritikos. With his family he emigrated to the United States settling in Haverhill in 1970. With hard work and determination he was an American success story. He loved his homeland of Greece and grew to love his new country of America. Peter was a painter, painting houses, interior and exterior. He was known for his gardening skills as well. Proud of the tomatoes he grew, he loved being out in the yard working in his garden and keeping his yard beautiful. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.In addition to his loving wife he is survived by his sons, Kostas Kritikos and his wife Marisol of Cranston, RI and John Kritikos of Haverhill and a grandson Peter Kritikos of Cranston, RI.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 16 at 11:00 AM at Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church, 156 Winter Street, Haverhill.
