William Twombly Sr.

Bradford – William C. Twombly, Sr., 67, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, after being stricken ill suddenly at his residence.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late, Paul and Mae (Knox) Twombly. He attended Haverhill public schools and Haverhill High School. Mr. Twombly was employed at the former Western Electric A T &amp T and retired from Lucent Technologies after thirty three years as a stockroom clerk.Mr. Twombly was a devoted father and grandfather he enjoyed going for day trips to the local beaches but most of all he cherished his time spent at his own home with his family. Having a great sense of humor, his storytelling was the highlight around the dinner table.He leaves two loving sons Jeremy L. Twombly and his wife, Kristine (Guerin), of Bradford, and William C. Twombly Jr and his wife, Martha, of Poolville, TX, three grandchildren Joshua, Weylin, and Heather Twombly, brothers Paul Twombly and his wife Phyllis, of Haverhill and Phillip Twombly, of NH and nieces and nephews.Friends and family are respectfully invited to graveside services on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the Linwood Cemetery Mausoleum, Mill St. Haverhill.
