Haverhill – Joseph R. Miedico, Sr., 87, husband of the late Mary Rose (Skrabut) Miedico, passed away December 15, 2018 at Prescott House in Andover with his loving family by his side.Born in Revere, he was the son of the late Antonio and Virginia (Luciano) Miedico. Raised and educated in Revere, he was a graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1950. Joseph was an Electrical Mechanical Designer, working for various companies including Computer Vision of Bedford. After marrying Mary Rose, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country from 1951 until 1955. Joseph was an accomplished and very active man. He was a co-founder of the first local scuba diving club. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed bow hunting in Vermont and skiing. Joe loved to sail his boat and was a member of the Jubilee Yacht Club. An avid golfer, he could be found on the courses at the Andover Country Club and Crystal Springs Golf Course. He enjoyed teaching his children and grandchildren all that he loved to do. Joe traveled the world for work and pleasure with his wife. A devoted father and grandfather, he will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.Joe is survived by his sons, Scott R. Miedico and his wife Denise of North Reading Roger J. Miedico and his wife Sharon of Windham, NH Joseph R. Miedico Jr. and his wife Patricia of Windham, NH five grandchildren, Darryl, Corbin, Justin, Aurise and Alexis Miedico two great grandchildren, Bryce and Cooper two brothers, Paul Miedico and Ralph Miedico, both of FL and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Mary Rose, he was predeceased by his brother, Richard Miedico.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, December 19 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B.
