Haverhill – Richard D. Chute, 83, husband of Teresa M. (Maffeo) Chute, passed away January 8, 2019 at Hannah Duston Healthcare with his loving family by his side.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late David A. and Amy E. (Phillips) Chute. Raised in Haverhill, he attended Haverhill Public Schools. He was employed in the shoe industry, Paperboard and Borden Chemical. Richard enjoyed tending bar at the Bradford Athletic Club. and loved to socialize. With his wife, he traveled to Disney World in Florida and together they enjoyed day trips. Everyone knew him as a grill master and as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.In addition to his loving wife of 56 years, Richard is survived by his children, Robert A. Chute of Gardner Angela M. Chute of Londonderry, NH Annette C. Chute of Peabody children Donna Whittemore of CA and Marcia Joyce of Bradford brothers, Harold Chute and his wife Roseanne of Methuen Philip Chute and his wife Judy of ME Timothy Chute of Tewksbury Donald Chute and his wife Debbie of ME eight grandchildren nine great grandchildren two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Richard D. Chute, Jr., brother David A. Chute Jr. and sister Bessie Williams.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 19 at 1:30PM at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 471 Main Street, Haverhill.
