Haverhill- Alfred Joseph Saunders, 59, passed away on June 4, 2022 after a long battle with an illness.
Born in Lawrence to the late Edward A. and Rita T. (Todd) Saunders, he attended public schools and graduated from Lawrence High School. For many years he was employed locally at Market Basket and in the restaurant industry. A born free spirit, he was happiest spending time at the beach.
He is survived by his sister Ann McLaughlin of Marion, Ohio; his brothers Christopher D. Todd, Michael Todd, and Steven Todd, Sr. all of New Hampshire; his cousin Sandra Sapienza of Lawrence; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Edward A. Saunders, Jr. and Kenneth Saunders.

I will miss your smiling face and catching up with you at the Drop- In while you tell me about your adventures. I’ve been thinking about you all along and now my worst fear’s for you have come true. At least I know you are at peace now.
