Barbara A. (Croston) LaPlante, 84, of Haverhill passed away on February 15, 2026 at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Barbara was born in Haverhill on December 1, 1941 to William and Doris (DeRenzo) Croston. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1957; after which she worked for many years as an assembler at Lucent Technologies. Barbara enjoyed gardening, family camping trips, and trips to historical sites like Sturbridge Village and Pennsylvania. She was a great cook and after her husband’s stroke, she was his caregiver for 25 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Barbara is survived by her son Lawrence W. LaPlante and his wife Laurie of Haverhill, and her daughter Erika L. Davis of Haverhill; as well as her sisters Diane Pearl and her husband Richard of Haverhill and Patricia Khentigan of Plaistow, NH, and her grandchildren: Jason LaPlante, Casey Strom, Corey LaPlante, Nicholas Deveau and Briana Davis. She was predeceased by her husband Richard LaPlante, her son Dwayne E. LaPlante, and her brother William Croston, Jr.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, February 24th from 10AM until 11AM followed by a funeral home chapel service at 11AM at the Kevin B.
