Barbara Ann (Spinney) Webster, 82, of Haverhill, died Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family.She was born in Boston, daughter of the late, Clarence and Francis (Gilligan) Spinney. She was a Graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1948 and attended Merrimack College.Mrs. Webster was employed as a layout operator at the former Western electric and retired from Lucent Technologies after thirty-six years of service to the company.A fun lady with a great sense of humor, she cherished time spent home with her family. In her younger days she enjoyed going out to eat, ballroom dancing with her late husband, and sharing her fond memories of her travels to the World’s Fair and Washington D.C..The widow of Carroll Webster who died in 1989, she leaves two loving daughters Karen Wood and her husband Bruce Saint Germain, of Sandgate, VT Nancy Herbrand and her husband Harry, of Haverhill two brothers John Spinney, of Boxford William Spinney and his wife, Rachael, of FL a sister Janice Bothello and her husband, Edward, of Marstons Mills, five grandchildren Tammy Washburn, Joseph Fraize Jr, Matthew Fraize, Katryn Muchirahondo, and Richard Herbrand. She was predeceased by her sister Marion Smith and sister in law, Lillian Spinney.Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend her Memorial Service on Saturday, December 8, at 3:00 PM in the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Calling hours will precede the service from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Burial is private.
