Haverhill – Bernard W. Muir, 58, husband of Kathleen T. (Foley) Muir, passed away on October 11th at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.Born in Burlington, VT he was the son of Rita M. (Jerome) Muir and the late Howard W. Muir. He attended Whittier Tech and was a graduate of the Class of 1976. He was employed for 25 years at Western Electric and later at Lucent Technologies. For the past 13 years he was employed with Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley as a maintenance engineer. Mr. Muir was an avid card player and met with his regular crew on Saturdays. He played in card tournaments on Thursday nights at the Old Oak in Merrimac. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren at the local county fairs and playing the arcades. Mr. Muir liked to scour the local yard sales and enjoyed shopping and fishing. He was proud of his 2002 Mustang convertible and spent many hours keeping it pristine.In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his three daughters, Erin Marie Gendron of Haverhill Meagan Lynn Pelletier and her husband Justin R. of Salisbury and Kaitlyn Ann Muir of Haverhill three grandchildren, Roger N. Gendron, Ethan W. Gendron and Dakota Sawyer Pelletier three brothers, Daniel R. Muir of Sandown, NH Todd M. Muir and his wife Tina of Haverhill and Keith R. Muir and Barbara Lord of Haverhill his sister, Tammy J. Muir of Sandown, NH. He is predeceased by his sister Terry Lee Therrian and his brother Ronald Muir.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, October 14th from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 15th at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, East Broadway, Haverhill.
