Cecile A. (Boisselle) Travers, formerly of Kennedy Circle, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 at Penacook Place in Haverhill, after a brief period of declining health, surrounded by her loving family.Born in Haverhill, on Dec. 14, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Eva C. (Hamel) Boisselle. She attended Greenleaf Grammar School in Bradford and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1948.She was retired from Lucent Technologies, (formerly AT& T, Western Electric) in North Andover. She was also a bookkeeper for Al Fazio.A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, aside from her family, her lifes passion was dancing. In 1948 she opened an operated her own dance studio, Cecile Boisselle Dancing Schools, with locations in Haverhill, Amesbury, and Hampton, N.H. She was a lifelong member of All Saints Parish, formerly St. Joseph’s Parish. She was very active with the “Come Alive After Five” dance club, holding many positions throughout the years of being a member. She volunteered for the Telephone Pioneers of America, dressing bears and delivering them to sick children.She leaves three sons, Edward M.Travers and his wife Gloria of Chicago, Gary P. Travers and his wife Laura of Texas, Richard A. Travers of Haverhill two daughters, Nancy L. Bode and her husband Robert P. of North Hampton, N.H., and Marcia J. Amirault of Haverhill a brother, Arthur J. Boisselle Jr. and his wife Dorla of Colorado Springs, Colo. six grandchildren, Christopher Viens, Melissa Fleming, James Higgins, Monica and Conor Amirault, Bria Travers three great-grandchildren, Owen and Eamon Wech-Viens, Norah Fleming and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, William T. Amirault.ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Friday, Nov. 6, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., (Route 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12 p.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 1 p.m. in All Saints Church, Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hilldale Avenue, Haverhill.
